Week 12

As I finish up my internship with the Catholic Textbook Project I am able to reflect on my experience and how that will guide me moving forward.

I have had a lot of great, fulfilling experiences over the course of the semester, most of which have been documented on this blog. The goals I set forth when I began this work have all been met and expanded upon. I have grown as an educator, historian, and professional. My awareness of the workplace settings and the technicalities of publishing has broadened. And I have established a professional connection that very well may re-emerge later down my life in the form of Full Measure Content and Consulting.

I am extremely grateful to Mrs. Magnuson, my supervisor, and her team at Full Measure who welcomed me in and offered me all the valuable experience they had to offer. I hope I did their project justice in this blog and during my internship presentation. It has been a great honor to be a part of a staff that is doing something so revolutionary for history education. The lessons and values they impressed on me I hope to emulate in my personal and professional career moving forward as a lifelong learner and educator.

Thank you,

Andrew Phelan
